Dance Recital 09'

Cassidy takes dance at Dance Arts she has for the last three years. At times it is a struggle to get her to class. But by the end of the year she is motivated by recital. This year her class performed little boy blue. She did a great job. Of course when she was done she was loaded down with flowers from family members.

I like her smile in this picture.
Mitchell was asked to play little boy blue(even though he's not in dance). All he had to do was do a hand stand near the beginning and then act like he was playing a horn at the end. I wasn't sure he would do it , but he did. I was so proud of him. If you know Mitchell this is a great accomplishment for him.

Tonya's Shower

Yes I am very behind in my blogging. Between Internet computer troubles and camera trouble I've had a difficult time. Hopefully I will have some spring break and dance recital pictures up before the end of the year.

A few weeks ago we had a wedding shower for my sister Tonya. She is getting married May 30th in Cincinnati. She lives there and goes to school there.

Favorite Toys

Zane and Zoe got fridge phonics for Christmas. It keeps them pretty entertained while I cook dinner. This is Mitchell's favorite toy. He calls it his white toy. He plays with it all the time. It is currently lost and he is driving me crazy trying to find it. So if anyone sees it please let me know.

Winter Storm

What a few days this has been. As a rural mail carrier there are some words we don't really like to hear like SNOW and ICE. Plus we live on a hill so you never no how it's going to be going down the hill. One year we were sliding down briggs hill and John through our jeep into reverse, but it kept sliding down. But the salt trucks have been working really hard lately, so we haven't had any trouble. I'm home today with the kids (Zoe is sick) so I won't have to worry where the kids will go. We lost our power all day yesterday. When we got home from work I picked up around the house for a while until the kids started getting hungry. So I took them out for McDoanld's and a trip to the library. When we got home we still had no power. Zane and Zoe went to sleep and the big kids entertained themselves. We lit candles all over the house(in safe locations, so as to not burn the house down). Meriah and I were reading at the table and Mitchell and Cassidy sat on the couches and told scary stories. We thought about getting a hotel room, but we had gas heat and water. I thought it was kind of nice to have it quite in the house for once(no t.v.,no video games). Mitchell and Cassidy telling scary stories.
Meriah reading.

This is where I usually park the van. Several big limbs fell here and one knocked off the gutter.

This is what it looks like when the first pull into our driveway.

Winter is my least favorite time of year. I do not enjoy the cold. I will be so glad when spring arrives. The one good thing about winter is it makes me appreciate the other seasons so much more.
