What a few days this has been. As a rural mail carrier there are some words we don't really like to hear like SNOW and ICE. Plus we live on a hill so you never no how it's going to be going down the hill. One year we were sliding down briggs hill and John through our jeep into reverse, but it kept sliding down. But the salt trucks have been working really hard lately, so we haven't had any trouble. I'm home today with the kids (Zoe is sick) so I won't have to worry where the kids will go. We lost our power all day yesterday. When we got home from work I picked up around the house for a while until the kids started getting hungry. So I took them out for McDoanld's and a trip to the library. When we got home we still had no power. Zane and Zoe went to sleep and the big kids entertained themselves. We lit candles all over the house(in safe locations, so as to not burn the house down). Meriah and I were reading at the table and Mitchell and Cassidy sat on the couches and told scary stories. We thought about getting a hotel room, but we had gas heat and water. I thought it was kind of nice to have it quite in the house for once(no t.v.,no video games). Mitchell and Cassidy telling scary stories.

I'm glad your van is okay!!! Maybe you should move the Jeep over there :-) Hope you have a good day indoors today. Let me know how Miss Zoe is. BTW - why is your bakers rack empty?
Candles sound so cozy!!! I bet it was nice having a peaceful day. I doubt it was quiet but certainly peaceful =).
I love your 'winter wonderland' photo! Snow is so beautiful.
